There is no requirement that there be more than one mod and in reality the quickest one of you could remove the other two and rule absolute.

Matter of fact I'm not sure if technically there even has to be one mod. I'm not sure what would happen if a solo mod tried to ban themselves but the software might make it possible.

(Just so you know it has actually happened on yahoogroups that someone removed themselves as group owner and the group ended up in a limbo status.)

I'm just commenting on the seemingly impossible to find method of voting for Jigsaw's replacement that is above board and fair.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">There never HAS been that requirement, Jump. IIRC, it started with Raven, Ickey and me as mods, because of the time we each had available. We'd just moved from Cincinnati Talk and were ever vigilant about trolls.

Then later on Lan expressed an interest, and since he looks like Bill Gates, we decided he'd get us free software, so we voted him in.

How could anyone vote for pina? It was only a couple of months ago that he caused all the problems in here.

He's arrogant, he's a pompous ass most of the time and he talks down to me and everyone else constantly (not that it matters because no matter what I consider myself better than him in every way)

I'll say it again. I'm not cool with pina becoming a moderator and I'd rather just keep the ones we have then let him have any control over anything. As you can see by the pathetic little poll he put on his board, he is only into personal attacks and can't be trusted as a moderator.

Here's my suggestion:

To make it as fair and anonymous as possible I say that gae and AL step down as moderators for the duration of the voting. From my perspective Jumper is the most neutral and I trust him at his word that he would not tamper with the results.

AL, this is not to say that I don't trust you it's just that I have seen Jumper defend my right to say things that he has publically and vehemently disagreed with.

Gae, well, I don't trust you. Nuff said.

Hold the vote again and after it's over reinstate gae and AL and go with the results of the voting.

I can't think of anyone here that would question Jumper's honesty so I think it would work.
